ARLINGTON  MIDWEST PEACE MEMORIAL

The Michiana Peace and Justice Coalition will create a memorial display 
of 3728 "tombstones" replicating Arlington National Cemetery and naming 
fallen soldiers.

There will also be a banner, "The Human Cost of War" stating the number 
of civilians who have been killed.

The "cemetery" will be in place from Thu., Aug. 30, 2:30 PM, through 
Sunday, 2:30 PM, Sept. 2.  If you have a religious orientation, an 
Interfaith Sunrise Prayer for Peace Service at 7:30 AM, Sun., Sept. 2, 
will be held inside the entrance to Holy Cross College.

The community is encouraged to visit this place to mourn, contemplate, 
grieve, meditate and acknowledge those who have lost their lives.

Help is needed both Thursday and Sunday and volunteers will also be 
needed during the day Friday through Sunday to attend the project, 
answer questions from passersby, etc.
