With sustainability initiatives all the rage but budget constraints as real as ever, Greg Gerritt, founder of the Green Party of Rhode Island,
will visit Roger Williams University to discuss eco-friendly economic practices.
Gerritt’s lecture, The Ecological Approach to Prosperity for Rhode Island, will take place on *Wednesday (March 21st)*,
at 7 p.m., in Room 125 of the School of Engineering on the Bristol Campus at 1 Old Ferry Rd.
The event is free and open to the public.
Gerritt, a longtime activist on issues of ecosystems and economics, was the first Green Party candidate for state legislature in the United States.
During his presentation, he will discuss how to heal Rhode Island’s ecosystems and improve the state’s approach to economic development,
specifically in terms of the blocked Quonset Bay megaport proposal.
For more information on Mr. Gerritt’s lecture, contact Prof. Matthew Gregg at (401) 254-3160.
